Project Overview
The Core II Studio is the second studio in the Masters of Landscape Architecture curriculum sequence at the Graduate School of Design. Originally a cemetery design project, the studio course was updated to address the concept, program, and design of a Potter’s Field as a cemetery landscape. It Could Be You: The Inevitability of Death and the Likeliness of the Potter’s Field is rooted in research regarding who actually ends up in Potter’s Fields, what it means to commission the design of one, and how “memento mori” (latin for remember you will die) can be translated into a landscape at Franklin Park, Boston, MA.
